Fall Break in Destin, FL: Day 2

Started our morning leisurely getting showered and ready for our day. Chilly this morning (note how AC is dressed in the first few pics...bundled up!), but the forecast said would warm up enough to enjoy beach and water fun by midday. So, we decided to head to Baytowne Wharf and explore that area. Had read that kids could actually see fishermen unload their boats from here. Pleasantly surprised to find it offered much more.

Today we would find 2 tree houses. Just wish they offered a safer way to the top than rickety ladders.

Weatherman was true to his word. Warmed up nicely and beach time was enjoyed by all. Ice cream man, however, I have a bone to pick with. His truck's music torments my child daily. By the time we hear it and run up to catch him, he is long gone. Tears ensue. Hopefully we can catch him one day this week before we leave! Geez!

Little treehouse

"Big" Swiss Family Robinson style treehouse. It was so cool.

Love the Spanish moss...

Brave girl climbing the ladder

View from top of the big treehouse. Beautiful.

We made it to the pools and beaches!

Waiting for ice cream man, to no avail

Got some cute pics out of it though!

Love this little girl!
