Our advent calendar |
On December 1, we started our advent calendar and Elf on the Shelf into our home. Larry and I didn't have either of these growing up, so we are really have fun with them.
We are putting a little different spin on the advent calendar. Rather than opening a gift, or receiving candy each day, Anna Claire will pull a card. On each card is a Christmas experience. Here's what I've come up with for this year, although I am finding new things come up everyday, offering even more holiday fun:

Chippy |
Elf on the Shelf!
We love having our Elf on the Shelf join our family for the month of December! We asked Anna Claire what she would like to name him, and since we had just watched the Elf on the Shelf TV special before presenting him to her, we went with "Chippy". I'm not sure who's having more fun, us, or Anna Claire, finding a new location for Chippy each day.
